Dr Katie Brown is a senior lecturer in Childhood Studies in the School of Teacher Education. She gained her BA (Hons) Education Studies and MA Education from the University of Bedfordshire, and her PhD in 2023 from the University of Roehampton. Her thesis explored the lived experiences of dyspraxia young adults in higher education. Alongside her academic qualifications, she is a Fellow of Advance HE.

Over the past 10 years, Katie has worked across the education sector from early years to higher education through both volunteer and paid employment. In 2019 she began a visiting lecturing position at the University of Bedfordshire as a lecturer in Education, before becoming a full-time member of teaching staff.
