I am an anthropologist specialising in tourism and cultural heritage, and have worked around the world carrying out consultancy, capacity building and training for the United Nations Development Programme, UNESCO, the European Union and the British Government, as well as local authorities, social enterprises, NGOs and the private sector. I have taught at Universities in Britain and abroad for more than 20 years, teaching courses on international tourism policy and planning, tourism and development, and tangible and intangible heritage safeguarding practice. I have a particular interest in community based tourism development and governance.
