I recently joined CCCU in 2023 as a full-time member of the Criminology Team, having been a sessional lecturer for over 8 years delivering modules for both the Forensic Investigation Programme and the BACCM Programme for Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring.
I specialise in the field of primary and secondary Mental Health and have been a MBACP accredited Therapeutic Counsellor and Psychological Practitioner for over 24 years working within the NHS, PCT, Private and Voluntary Sector. I also sit as a Chair of Trustees for The Counselling Plus Community, which works collaboratively with the Sussex Partnership and Care Commissioners in supporting victims and perpetrators of violence and sexual abuse based in East Sussex.
I hold a PG Cert, PG Dip and MSc in Therapeutic Counselling where I began my career at Greenwich University, having previously worked as a Social Worker and Registered Manager in the field of Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour and Learning Disabilities. I have been responsible for initiating the IAPT Programme within the East Kent and Coastal NHS Trust, where I have also worked as a Mediator, Critical Incident DeBriefer, and Mental Health Act Manager. I also hold a Diploma in Supervision and a PGCE.
