Miss Jacky Claydon

Lecturer in Policing

School of Law, Policing and Social Sciences

I joined CCCU in 2022 and I am a lecturer in professional policing.

I previously worked for Kent Police for 25 years as a police officer and a member of police staff. I recently completed a PhD at the University of Kent where I explored the nature of expertise in forensic fingerprint examination.

I am the Module Leader for :

(L4) Introduction to Professional Policing and The Law and Politics of Policing

(L5) Decision-Making Theory and Practice in Policing and Evidence Relating to Criminal Investigation

I am interested in expertise in forensic fingerprint and forensic facial examination, the potential use of new technology in policing and police well-being.
