I joined CCCU in 2020 after working as a police officer and member of police staff for 32 years.

I spent two years as a work-based assessor working directly with apprentices on the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) programme and their respective forces before becoming a lecturer on the same programme in July 2022.

My areas of interest include operational policing, equality and diversity in policing, and the benefits / challenges of GenAI within policing and academia.

Teaching: I teach modules across the PCDA programme and hold qualifications in assessment, quality assurance, course/curriculum design, teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL), and safeguarding.
