I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Social Psychology from Loughborough University, followed by a MA in Gender Studies from SOAS, University of London. Most recently, I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education where I gained Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
My motivation for being an Academic Tutor stems from my love for education as a source of transformational change. Nourishing educational spaces where we can all thrive goes beyond just imagining the possibility of a fairer world to becoming agents of change. My role involves working collaboratively with course teams and support services to ensure equitable outcomes for students by strategically closing awarding gaps through academic and pastoral support provision.
I also have a growing portfolio of raising awareness around social justice issues through teaching, training, and consultancy across Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) work, specifically LGBTQ+ inclusion and violence against women and girls. I am currently researching the role of technology in achieving equitable outcomes for neurodiverse students.
