Miss Hannah Gray

Lecturer in Adult Nursing

School of Nursing

Hannah is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing.

Originally born and bred in Kent, I studied at the University of Southampton where I gained my degree in Adult Nursing in 2017. I have worked in Intensive Care Units across London caring for both critically unwell adult and paediatric patients. In that time I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Intensive Care Nursing and worked my way up the bands to become a Practice Educator.

During the pandemic, I worked frontline on an Adult Intensive Care Unit. I documented my experiences through a blog 'The Corona Lisa'. Through this I was offered the opportunity to be a guest on two episodes of the BBC World Service podcast, The Conversation. Subsequently, I went on to develop my own podcast, What Makes a Nurse?

I have now returned home, starting my academic career at CCCU in July 2023. I am a Lecturer in Adult Nursing and teach predominately on modules in the BSc Adult Nursing course. I am so a Personal Academic Tutor. During my time here have completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice and gained Fellowship status in the High Education Academy. I am currently completing a Master's in Law, specifically around Healthcare Law and Medical Ethics.

I have particular interests in critical care nursing, humanitarian and conflict nursing and simulated practice learning.
