I joined CCCU in 2019 and am a lecturer in primary education.

I am a senior lecturer in primary education, working 0.6fte. I work within the English and Inclusion teams. I work with student teachers in preparing them for their professional careers across undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. I support students on their professional placements and work as a Link Teacher, ensuring quality assurance across schools and purposeful integration between CCCU and school partnerships.

I have a background in primary, secondary and special school teaching, as a teacher, SENCo and Deputy Head Teacher. I have been an educational adviser and consultant working for Kent Local Authority.

I am the Director of Target Literacy, a company that supports schools in developing aspects of literacy. I have worked as an external provider involved in research funded by the Education Endowment Foundation, undertaking randomised control trials and scale-ups for several reading interventions, developed by both Leicester City and Nottingham Local Authorities. I am an affiliate of the International Literacy Centre with UCL.
