Christ Church Business School Director of Learning and Teaching and Student Experience

I joined the university in June 2021 after working in an inner city university in London.  In my role as Christ Church Business School Director of Learning and Teaching and Student Experience, I work with staff and students to ensure that the school is a space for an outstanding learning and teaching experience.

A lot of my work is strategic and focussed on ensuring that we are able to connect our strategy to our practice. On the ground, this translates as initiatives which involve working with students as partners.

I am a passionate believer in the transformational power of education and my mission is to ensure that our staff and students benefit from opportunities offered by the university. My own educational and professional profile has led me to engage with many disciplines such as Linguistics, Education, Art and Business.

At Christ Church Business School, my teaching is focussed on developing employabilty skills. This allows me to work with students individually so they can find their passion, discover their values and grow in confidence, ready for graduate of post-graduate employment . I am proud to be holding a prestigious National Teaching Fellowship award from Advance HE for my work in e-learning and student experience. I am excited to be working at Christ Church Business School continue developing initiatives to support students in their learning and their self-development.

I currently teach employability skills and self-development across a range of modules. My responsibilities include chairing Boards of Studies, being a member of the Business School Senior Leadership Team, of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee and other university group. In these roles, my focus is to advocate for the student experience and as an extension, to ensure our staff are supported to deliver outstanding teaching.

My research interests are focussed on the student experience and leadership in higher education
