Course Director BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism. I both lead and teach on the Broadcast Journalism Training Council accredited undergraduate course.

Also teaching Digital Media; Film, Radio and TV Studies and Media and Communication undergraduate degree courses.

Significant Responsibility for Independent Research Status. My research area is local and independent media.

Module lead for Global Experience in the Creative Industries school-wide module featuring a European field trip.

Lecturer and subsequently senior lecturer at CCCU: BA (Hons) Multimedia Journalism; BA (Hons) Media and Comms; and BA (Hons) Film, Radio and TV.

My research focuses on local and community media, specifically internet era independent community-based digital operations. This encompasses research into the escalating problem of news deserts and extends to local media archiving. I also include 21st century non-normative approaches such as positive and solutions or constructive journalism. These approaches are frequently evidenced in independent operations.
