School of Allied and Public Health Professions

Anna is a Lecturer within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care.

I am the module lead for Principles of Science and Technology in Medical Ultrasound on the PGCert Musculoskeletal Ultrasound course, and a practicing clinical specialist sonographer with an interest in Obstetric imaging and Quality Assurance. I have previously been a member of the Ultrasound Advisory Group for the society of radiographers, and am currently a member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society Physics and Safety Committee.

I am a clinical specialist sonographer who currently works for a large North London NHS Trust performing obstetric, gynaecological and general medical ultrasound examinations. I am also responsible for the ultrasound equipment within the department, which includes performing quality assurance testing and managing repairs/installations of the ultrasound machines.

I previously was a member of the ultrasound advisory group for the society of radiographers that advises public bodies such as NICE on clinical guidance. Currently, I am undertaking a position on the BMUS Physics and Safety Committee, which looks at ensuring ultrasound practice is performed safely and currently is looking at the role of AI in Ultrasound.

I have been teaching at CCCU since 2016, and took over the Principles of Science and Technology in Medical Ultrasound module in 2018.

I have an interest in obstetric imaging with particular attention paid to the saving babies' lives initiative to reduce stillbirth rates.
