Andrew Harris served as a teacher and governor in primary schools in Derbyshire and Gloucestershire. He then worked as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Mathematics Education at the University of Cumbria where he co-led the Modular/Part-time Primary PGCE pathway and led the Key Stage 2 Mathematics provision. He has completed a Masters degree in Educational Studies, focusing on mathematics education.
He now works as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at Canterbury Christ Church University where he contributes to the work of the primary mathematics team, teaching on a range of Masters, postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. Andrew Harris has also served on a number of university and faculty committees, particularly in relation to disability access, learning and teaching, assessment and quality enhancement.
