I started working at CCCU in autumn 2021. I have been involved in education for many years, previously working at University of Kent for 8 years in a role of a clinical supervisor. My main role involves promoting student therapist knowledge consolidation with the practice and problem solving in our Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation clinic. I also am a module lead for the Clinical Practice, Work Placement & Employability module.
I studied an undergraduate degree at Latvian Academy of Sport Education and graduated as a PE teacher and a physiotherapist. After completing a Masters degree at University of Kent I became a graduate sports therapist and rehabilitator. I have worked part-time as self-employed. I specialize in overuse injury treatment and biomechanical error correction in order to restore function and improve athletic performance.
