On behalf of the administrative staff and faculty members of Westford, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you. I am keen to ensure that you have sound academic development at Westford pursuing the Postgraduate Certificate in Education International (PGCEi). You are now a part of a strong campus community that values academic excellence and diversity. Whether you are beginning or continuing your educational journey with us, we look forward to learning, exploring, and growing together. Many congratulations on investing in your growth and professional development. This programme enables teachers to engage in academic rigour, comprehensive understanding of concepts, and develop higher-level skills considering a PGCE in a global setting. For learners already working in schools or colleges; this programme would allow them to expand their knowledge and understanding of policy and practice in real-world settings via critical study. The PGCEi programme, through the systematic application of appropriate aspects of pedagogy to professional practice, deepens the learners understanding concerning local, national and international policy and curriculum design. Learners will be encouraged to develop a critical awareness of assumptions and how policy is interpreted in practice. Informed by research into the underlying values, principles and philosophies of education, learners will be encouraged to articulate their own professional identity and ideology as a teacher.
