Getting started

The Arts, Humanities and Education Foundation Year commences with a welcome week (w/c 18 September 2023), providing students with an opportunity to meet the course team and get to know their fellow students. This week is designed to make you familiar with your tutors, timetable and the academic, personal and technical support that is always available to you. You will discover which groups you’re in for seminars, and you will be introduced to the wider community through activities like the Students’ Union Freshers’ Fayre. For all these reasons, it’s really important that new students attend their Welcome Week.

Find out more at your Welcome Hub.

If you join us slightly late, don't worry - we run regular induction activities throughout the first Semester to ensure that late applicants/starters are fully supported on joining the Foundation Year.
