If you're travelling to campus by car, there are a range of off-site locations suitable for parking around the university.

To be more sustainable and save money why not consider a car share

Canterbury

Park and Ride

Canterbury City Council operates a Park and Ride Scheme at the Wincheap and New Dover Road Park & Ride car parks. The Sturry Road Park & Ride will also re-open from 1 April 2024. Tickets are £4.00 per day per car and up to 6 passengers or if you're a resident of the Canterbury district, certain car parks will cost only £3.20 a day. You can also register online for the ANPR car parks, so you don't have to go to the pay machines. Instead, your registration is recognised when you enter and leave the car park and payment is made automatically.

Public Car Parking

There are council public parking close to campus. You can find information on this, including details for Blue Badge holders, on the Canterbury City Council website. If you are studying or visiting Augustine House there is also a public car park near Canterbury East rail station.

Polo Farm Minibus Service

A free 5 minute shuttle service for students and staff is available at Polo Farm Sports Club Canterbury (CT3 4AF). A small shuttle bus is in operation to take students and staff between Old Sessions House and Polo Farm to 6pm (student/staff ID required). Spaces are limited and on a first come, first served basis. You can also use the local Stagecoach public bus service to get to Polo Farm.

Medway

If you are travelling to Medway campus by car, then you can park in the Historic Dockyard Trust car park.

Tunbridge Wells

There is no arranged off-campus parking for the Salomons Institute in Tunbridge Wells, however, there is a multi-storey car park (Meadow Road) opposite the site. It is also less than a 10 minute walk to the Tunbridge Wells Rail Station.

We recommend you use official car parks or the park and ride. If you do park in local streets please be considerate of our neighbours, ensure you are parked legally and do not cause an obstruction.
