We have a group of postgraduate peer mentors trained to provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk freely and ask questions. They can provide reassurance and guidance to help you succeed in your studies and research, build support networks and feel connected to the wider University community.
We’ve a diverse pool of peer mentors for you to connect with, from various backgrounds and differing experiences. Experiences of mental health, learning differences and other disabilities, living on or near the campuses, commuting, being mature, parents or carers and much more. Each has their own unique experience and insight to share.

Become a postgraduate peer mentor
Share your knowledge and experience to help guide other postgraduate students through university life by becoming a peer mentor. As a student peer mentor, you’ll be trained to provide reassurance, guidance and navigation to other students, by giving them a safe and confidential space to talk freely and ask questions.
How to apply
To apply for a peer mentor position, please complete and complete the online application form to peermentoring@canterbury.ac.uk.
You’ll need to register for this volunteer position to be able to log your volunteering hours. Please go to the volunteer website and select the peer mentor position.
