Your course induction during w/c Tuesday 20 September is a really important part of your Welcome Week where you will meet your lecturers and other students as well as find out about the teaching on your course and your timetable.
Your Welcome Schedule is available below with information about your academic course welcome sessions and induction – this is your opportunity to meet your tutors and your new classmates and find out more about university life.
Your Course team will use the first session to tell you more about the arrangements for the first few weeks including information about your timetable and any groups you may be allocated to.
Important!
Please make sure to check your personal email address and your university email address regularly in the lead-up to your arrival, as your course team may need to contact you with additional information, for example if any of your Welcome activities take place in smaller groups or if you’re studying a course that has uniform and occupational health vaccination requirements.
Please also be aware that your Welcome Schedule could be subject to change - so remember to re-check it before you start.
Additionally, some activities may still need to be roomed, due to things like an increase in the number of expected students; once rooms are confirmed for these activities, they'll be added them to your Welcome Schedule.
If you are studying for a combined honours degree, please ensure you’re looking at both your course inductions. However, please note you will only have to attend one IT and one Library induction.

Make sure you explore your Welcome Hub.
There are lots of things that you can do before you arrive and in your first few weeks to ensure that you get a good start at university and make the most of your student experience.
Don’t forget to put in your diary the Students’ Union Fresher’s Fayres as well as the University Welcome Fair, with a range of pop events and fun activities available throughout your welcome week to help you settle in.
