Your course induction is a really important part of your Welcome Week where you will meet your lecturers and other students as well as find out about the teaching on your course and your timetable.
Your full welcome week schedule may include online orientations with the Library, Learning Skills and IT teams- so you do not need to be on campus for these, but please ensure that you are still free to attend. Further details and links to access these sessions will be emailed to your university email address, by your Course Team, before your arrival.
For some courses with large numbers of students there may be several induction sessions listed. The email from your Course Team will also confirm your group and which session you need to attend.
If you are studying a combined honours degree, please ensure you’re looking at both your course inductions.
If your course does not appear in the A – Z list please contact your course team; details are available in your Course Essentials.
These pages are being updated constantly so please come back to check your details regularly.
Make sure you explore your Welcome Hub
There are lots of things that you can do before you arrive and in your first few weeks to ensure that you get a good start at university and make the most of your student experience.
Don’t forget to put in your diary the Students’ Union Fresher’s Fayres as well as the University Welcome Fairs, with a range of pop events and fun activities available throughout your welcome week to help you settle in.
