Supporting our students with the cost of living

The current cost of living crisis is affecting everyone, and we want to work together to support each other during this time.

Working in partnership with the Students’ Union, we have put in place a range of support and with your feedback we want to continue to find ways in which we can provide cost of living assistance for our whole community.

Catering launches its helping hand menu

We want to ensure all of the University community has access to nutritious, healthy food at affordable prices. This is why we have got together with our Head Chef to create our helping hand menu for the start of the new academic year, providing a selection of classic and healthy lunch dishes costing £3.00 or less.

And we have a Refillable Van coming on to campus on the last Thursday of every month outside Verena Holmes between 12 noon and 3pm. This provides a cost-effective way to top up on essentials while avoiding unnecessary packaging at the same time.

Student Wellbeing

Making your student voice heard

Throughout your time at Christ Church there will be lots of opportunities to provide feedback and make a difference to the student experience.

Join the student voice panel

The Student Voice Research Panel is made up of a range of students to provide valuable feedback. If you can spare a little time every now and then to tell us what you think by completing online surveys and participating in focus groups, then you could make a difference. There are prize draws and incentives to be won to show our appreciation for taking part! Find out more here.

Become a Student Course Rep

The role of a student course rep is vital to assure a high-quality student experience and to support student retention and success. You will get to attend student voice forums each semester, where together with the teaching team, you can discuss your course and identify ways to enhance your learning. You will often be the first to know what is going on in your course, be able to give feedback to your tutors and have a direct influence over the way in which your course is taught. So, when asked by your Course team please consider putting yourself forward for this important role.
