It is a busy bumper February with lots of opportunities and activities to get involved with this month - so don't miss out!

Student Surveys – It’s About You!

Each year, whatever your level of study, you're able to take part in a national student survey. These give you a chance to have your say about your wider student experience and shape your future at Christ Church. They are quick and easy to complete and as a thank you, you will be entered into a draw to win a cash prize!

New Wellbeing Café

As 2 February is Time To Talk Day, the nation’s biggest mental health conversation, we want to raise awareness of all the opportunities for students to chat with each other as well as with the Student Wellbeing Team.

Alongside the popular regular events such as Tea at Three or Chooseday Chill, the Wellbeing Café will be running every Thursday from 2pm– 4.30pm in the Food Court. Come along and meet the Student Support Team for advice on finance and wellbeing as well as enjoy a free cuppa and some biscuits.

In Medway look out for Chill and Chat with Lynne on 3, 14, and 23 February.

And don’t forget the range of confidential support available from our Mental Wellbeing Team and the 24/7 hour service Spectrum.Life.

Time to Talk

Anti-racism Listen and Learn Sessions

In late February and early March the University will be hosting a range of listening sessions to support anti-racism and race equity for students and staff. We want this to be an opportunity to listen to and learn from our community, to understand what we need to do together to change, and to capture ideas for how we can authentically build an anti-racist university.

To be anti-racist is to actively challenge systems of racial inequalities – it is simply not enough to not be racist or to say that we do not discriminate. Your voice and commitment to action is critical to helping us shape a future that is equitable and without barriers.

Academic Updates

Your Results

At the end of each Semester/Trimester, you will receive a formal notification of the marks you have achieved for your completed modules. This year you will be able to access you results in MyRecord (in the ‘My Studies’ tab, under ‘My Assessments’). You may also have noticed that you can now see your historic module marks in MyRecord too.

Module Choice

If you’re a 1st or 2nd year student on a Semester-based course, you may be eligible in March to choose the module(s) that you want to study in the next academic year. This is an opportunity to focus on the specific topics and themes that are of interest to you. On some courses, you may even be able to choose to study a language module. So, why not start giving it some thought and perhaps discuss your options with your tutors, so you are prepared to make the best choices for you.

Further strike action in February and March

The University and College Union have announced plans for further industrial action in February and March. Our priority remains the education and wellbeing of our students, and we are committed to minimising any disruption to your learning.
