Christmas at CCCU in 2023
It is never too early to start planning for the festive season and there will be lots of ways for you to get into the Christmas spirit at CCCU!
Canterbury, Medway and Tunbridge Wells campuses will close for most services and activity from Friday 22 December 2023 and will re-open on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
A range of services will continue to be available both on campus and online to support students during the holidays.
Spectrum.Life offers CCCU students immediate emotional online, text and telephone support from qualified professionals – whenever and wherever you need it. So, whether you go back home in the UK or overseas for Christmas or you stay local there is always someone there for you.

If you are not going home for Christmas, The Lounge has you covered! From 16 December to 8 January, there will be a cosy corner where you can meet up with mates, play games and maybe enjoy a mince pie. Remember to bring your student ID!
The Students' Union has also set up a little campus pantry for those in need of food over the holiday period.
When the Library is open don't forget the StressLess Zone on the second floor. This is the perfect warm place to chill and enjoy board games and crafts with your friends over the holidays.
Augustine House will remain open for students daily, except from 25 - 26 December and 1 January when it will be closed.
Please note that Augustine House is open 24/7 from 30 October 2023 to 19 January 2024, excluding 18 December to 1 January where the building will be open under restricted hours. Normal opening hours will resume from 2 January.

The Drill Hall Library will operate standard term-time hours (Monday to Friday 8am -12 midnight, Weekends 9am - 12 midnight) until Friday 15 December. Normal opening hours will resume from 2 January.

Salomons Institute Library, Tunbridge Wells will close for Christmas on 21 December at 4.30pm and reopen on 2 January at 8am.
Remember you can also access a range of digital learning resources via your Digital Library and Learning Skills Hub at any time from home.
The quickest and easiest way for you to access all the free software you might need for your course over the holidays, including Microsoft Office, SPSS, NVivo and more is via the Student Software App Store
The Students' Union Hub, including the lounge and offices, will be closed from 15 December at 4pm until 2 January at 8.30am.
The Sports Centre will be closed from 21 December at 5pm and will resume standard operating hours on 2nd January.
The Bookshop on Canterbury campus will be closed from 21 December at 2pm until 2 January at 9am.
