Catering is delighted to introduce a new reusable zero waste cup in their outlets alongside a scheme where you don’t have to carry your cup around but can trade it for an exchange card ready for when you want your next drink!
This is part of the University’s commitment to reducing our community’s carbon footprint and use of single-use plastic. The zero waste reusable cups are 100% recyclable polypropylene and contribute 96% less Co2 than standard cups.
The Reusable Cup Exchange Scheme offers students the opportunity to purchase a reusable cup from participating outlets that can be exchanged for an Exchange Card after each use. The scheme offers some great benefits including:
- No need to remember to bring your cup on campus or carry it around all day - simply keep the card on you to exchange on your next purchase.
- No washing up – you do not need to worry about washing the cup each time (subject to the rinse and return policy)!
- No need to worry about the lifecycle of the cup – as long as you have the Resuable Cup or Exchange Card – we have this covered!
