Teachers need better mental health support

Dr Alan Bainbridge, Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, has been developing a model of support and supervision, working with the charity Barnardo’s Scotland, on a new report, which calls for better emotional and mental health support for education professionals in schools.

Tracey Wornast is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director for the BSc Human Development, Mind, Body and Spirit courses at Christ Church. Tracey is graduating with a Doctorate in Education focusing on student wellbeing, and looks after Pixie the Therapy Dog (when Pixie isn’t busy looking after us!).

Lucy Arman is graduating with a First in BA Physical Education and Physical Activity. During her studies, Lucy coached aspiring local cricketers and won Kent Cricket’s Coach of the Year award, and was nominated for a British Education Award in recognition of her outstanding academic success while dealing with significant health issues.
