Canterbury, Medway and Tunbridge Wells campuses will close for most services and activity on Friday 20 December 2024 and will re-open on Thursday 2 January 2025.

A range of services will continue to be available both on campus and online to support students during the holidays.

Wellbeing Support

Spectrum.Life offers CCCU students immediate emotional online, text and telephone support from qualified professionals – whenever and wherever you need it. So, whether you go back home in the UK or overseas for Christmas or you stay local there is always someone there for you.

Christmas Corner in the Lounge, St Georges

If you are not going home for Christmas, The Lounge has you covered! From 21 December to 5 January, there will be a cosy corner where you can meet up with mates, play games and maybe enjoy a mince pie. Remember to bring your student ID!

StressLess Zone in the Library

When the Library is open don't forget the StressLess Zone on the second floor. This is the perfect warm place to chill and enjoy board games and crafts with your friends over the holidays. 

Augustine House Library and i-zone support

Augustine House will remain open for students daily, except from 25-26 December and 1 January when it will be closed.

Please note that Augustine House is now open under reduced hours for the festive break. 24/7 access will resume on 2 January until 17 January.

Drill Hall Library

Drill Hall library will be open on reduced hours 9am - 5pm, from Saturday 14 December to Friday 20 December.

The main library services will close from Saturday 21 December until Thursday 2 January 2025; however, study spaces will be available to Medway students during this time. Make sure you bring your Student ID to access the building.

Salomons Institute Library

Salomons Institute Library, Tunbridge Wells will close for Christmas on 20 December at 4.30pm and reopen on 2 January at 8am.

Learning Support

Remember you can access a range of digital learning resources via your Digital Library and Learning Skills Hub at any time from home.

The quickest and easiest way for you to access all the free software you might need for your course over the holidays, including Microsoft Office, SPSS, NVivo and more is via the CCCU App Store

If you are staying in University accommodation over Christmas, then remember you can access all the support above. You can also contact the security team if you have any concerns or issues during this time on 01227 922355.
