Our goal is to ensure that students from all backgrounds irrespective of their racial and/or ethnic backgrounds can progress and succeed at CCCU!

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive environment at CCCU, we are excited to share a range of opportunities specifically designed for Black, Asian, Mixed Heritage, and Minoritised Ethnic students.

  • Thrive: Black Leadership Programme
Embark on an empowering eight-week journey designed to equip you with the skills necessary to become a confident and effective leader. Take this exciting opportunity to connect with others, build a strong network and achieve your future ambitions.
  • Student Curriculum Consultants
We are offering students paid opportunities in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Social Sciences to help co-create resources, decolonise their learning and support the development of a diversity mark for modules.
  • Student Experience Consultants
We are offering students opportunities in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Social Sciences to help review the University services to ensure they are accessible and supportive of our Black, Asian, Mixed Heritage and Minoritised Ethnic student communities.

We are pleased to be piloting these projects in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Social Sciences. However, we are keen to hear from all interested students who wish to contribute to the projects mentioned above. For further information please email ClosingOurGap@canterbury.ac.uk
