The results show a strong performance across the University’s courses within the theme of ‘assessment and feedback.’

Christ Church Students’ Union representations of students’ academic interests also performed above the sector average.

The University’s results highlight a range of positive performances including student feedback in the School of Creative Arts and Industries, which continues to perform above the sector for most of the core themes.

Graphic Design, Commercial Music, Games Design, Criminal Investigation and Forensic Investigations all scored 90% or more for satisfaction.

BSc (Hons) Psychology significantly outscored the overall sector average in 5 of the 8 themes, including overall positivity.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Alison Honour, commented.

“The National Student Survey results show a fantastic number of positive performances across our courses. However, we will redouble our efforts to address the valuable feedback from our students, to ensure their experience continues to improve so that the Canterbury Christ Church University community remains a vibrant, supportive, and transformative place to study.”

Work is now underway preparing subject and course level NSS results for publication which will include analysis of course/subject performance against the sector benchmarks.

Note:

Changes made to the NSS survey means that this year’s data is not comparable to previous years, but the University continues to close the gap in many areas in comparison to the sector benchmark, demonstrating continuous improvement of the student experience.
