The 10,000 Able Interns programme application is now open.

The programme is designed to give individuals with a disability a flying start at building their career. They match you with a paid internship in a sector of your interest and support you with pre-internship training and development.

Who is eligible to apply?

Candidates are eligible if they experience social/physical barriers because of:

  • Sensory, physical or social/communication impairments
  • Chronic mental health (pre-dating HE), autism spectrum disorders, or neurological disorders
  • Other social/physical barriers, including chronic pain, mobility dexterity issues, and progressive illnesses.

And if they:

  • Are studying at a UK university at undergraduate or postgraduate level
  • Have recently graduated from a UK university (from 2019 onwards)
  • Have completed A-levels, aged 18+, on a gap year with the intention of going to university
