In the Making exhibition
06 July 2016
The Sidney Cooper Gallery is preparing to open its doors for its next exhibition, In the Making, showcasing a range of work, produced by Canterbury Christ Church University graduates.
Graduates from the Secondary PGCE Art and Design course responded to this year’s intense and exciting experience of becoming Artist-Teachers, celebrating their achievements and the strong partnership link between the University’s Education Faculty and secondary schools in Kent and Medway.
In the Making will exhibit work in a rich variety and range of 2D and 3D media and processes from the PGCE students’ own creative practice, their work as teachers and from the pupils’, students’ and mentors in the schools they have worked with during their PGCE course.
Work on show includes examples of sculpture, painting, printmaking, textiles and photography produced in wide variety of different media and illustrates the wonderful scope of work that takes place in Kent and Medway’s secondary school art departments.
The exhibition will run from Thursday 7 to Saturday 16 July at the Sidney Cooper Gallery, St Peters Street, Canterbury, CT1 2BQ. For more information about the exhibition or future exhibitions, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
