The second public lecture in the Making Politics Matter series at Canterbury Christ Church University continues on 23 January with Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Canterbury and Whitstable, James Flanagan speaking.
Mr Flanagan will be giving a talk entitled Why Canterbury needs a liberal MP as part of the Politics and International Relations Meet the Candidate sessions in the lead up to the General Election 2015.
The session will open with Mr Flanagan exploring his views on how he thinks the Canterbury and Whitstable area will benefit if he is voted into Parliament this May. Questions from the audience will then commence as the second part of the session allowing the local community to contest or support his views.
Why Canterbury needs a liberal MP will be held in The Old Sessions House building at Canterbury Christ Church University on Friday 23 January at 7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
