Funding from US Embassy granted for new Fulbright lecture series
29 April 2015
Dr Chris Pallant, Senior Lecturer in Film Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, has represented the UK Fulbright Alumni Network and submitted a successful funding bid to launch a regional lecture series.
ecently, the US Embassy were looking to fund cultural outreach initiatives and this inspired Dr Pallant to propose a travelling lecture series, with support from the UK Fulbright Alumni Network.
The resulting Fulbright Frontiers Lecturer Series will establish a regular space for alumni outside of London to share their research projects at a wider regional level. The series will also provide opportunities for alumni to bring their research or work, across all disciplines, to a wider audience.
The first lecture will be held on 2 June at the University of Warwick. The events are free and open to alumni, as well as the general public, with the hope that the lectures will spread the word about the Fulbright programme more widely throughout the country.
