Canterbury Christ Church University Business School Employability Manager, Sam Clark, has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution to Work Experience award, as part of the NUE (National Undergraduate Employability) Awards 2015.
The Award celebrates the commitment and contribution made by a particular individual within a university to help students apply and maximise their work experience opportunities.
Sam Clark, said: “I am really surprised and overwhelmed to have been shortlisted for the award. It’s great to be recognised for the effort I’ve put into the Professional Placements programme this year, but I certainly couldn’t have done it without the Academic and Professional support in the Business school.
“I’m very proud to be able to represent CCCU at the awards evening in February”.
The NUE Awards, sponsored by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), is entering its sixth year in 2015, benchmarking success across all organisations, universities and students in the undergraduate employability market.
Dr Heather McLaughlin, Head of the Business School and Claire Charles, Acting Head of Careers nominated Sam for the award in recognition of his engagement with the regional business community to support the new 4-year degree programme, as well as the other student focused employability initiatives.
The award ceremony will take place in London in February 2015.
