University to hold official General Election Hustings

Canterbury Christ Church University's Politics and International Relations programme has invited the Parliamentary Candidates for Canterbury and Whitstable to debate their party's policies in the lead up to the 2015 General Election.

Candidates from Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Green, UKIP, and the Socialist Party of Great Britain  will attend Meet the Candidates for the 2015 General Election. The candidates will seek to persuade the audience that they are the best person for the job of MP Canterbury and Whitstable.

The event will allow members of the public to ask questions on a wide range of subjects, from WEU membership and immigration, the localism and the environment.

Meet the Candidates for the 2015 General Election will take place on Friday 24April at 7.30pm in the Old Sessions House building on the North Holmes Campus at Canterbury Christ Church University. The event is free and open to all. No booking is required to attend. Refreshments will be served at 7pm.

The hustings event is organised and hosted as part of the Making Politics Matter initiative within the Politics and International Relations programme and run in partnership with Canterbury and District Interfaith Action.
