Press Release

05 July 2013

Figures released today show Canterbury Christ Church University graduates are continuing with their success in gaining employment within six months of graduating.

The statistics are based on the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey of 2011/12 graduates. They show 94% of Christ Church graduates are in employment or further studies six months after graduating, putting the University in the top 20 of English Universities (out of 120) and 3% above the national average.

Professor Susan Piotrowski, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), said: “This is an outstanding achievement especially in such a challenging economic climate. We are very proud of our students for their hard work and commitment to their courses throughout their time studying with us at Christ Church.

“Their dedication to their new careers, along with the support and expertise of our staff, ensure that our graduates are very highly regarded by employers.”

Notes to Editor

  • The employment indicator is the percentage of UK domiciled, full-time, first degree graduates (that were successfully surveyed), who were found to be in employment and/or further study, approximately six months after programme completion.
