Canterbury Christ Church University will welcome one of Europe's most popular gospel choirs for an exclusive performance at Augustine Hall on Saturday 10 December 2011 at 7.30pm.
Performing as part of their 2011 nationwide Christmas Tour, The London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) will make their only stop in Kent at a memorable festive concert for the public to attend.
Vince Peilow, Director of the Christ Church Gospel Choir at Canterbury Christ Church University said: “We’re delighted to welcome the London Community Gospel Choir to Canterbury and the University to bring their own unique style of singing to a truly joyous Christmas event.
“The LCGC is one of the most successful choirs in Europe so we’re equally excited for the University’s own Gospel choir to be given the opportunity to perform two songs with them during the concert.”
The London Community Gospel Choir is well known for undertaking several prestigious performances amongst celebrities, Royalty and other musical artists alike. The choir were flown to Italy to sing at Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s wedding in 2008, recorded ‘Abide with Me’ as ITV’s new FA Cup theme song and are often the backing vocalists on the popular prime time Saturday night show, The X-Factor.
