Research

The Centre has pursued a wide range of projects exploring the benefits of active participation in creative arts for health and wellbeing. Many of our projects have involved work with older people living with long-term health conditions including respiratory illness, dementia and Parkinson's, as well as working with their carers. We examine the role that participation in creative arts activities, particularly theatre, storytelling, music, singing, movement, puppetry and digital arts may play in promoting wellbeing and good health.

The Centre is expanding its portfolio by engaging with children and young people in healthcare paediatrics NHS and community mental health and children’s healthcare services.
