Anne Martin

Anne has international experience in undertaking quantitative and qualitative research. She has made contributions to HIV/AIDS prevention and control and reproductive health research in deprived communities. Anne has held research posts with the World Health Organisation and UK Department for International Development.

Anne has expertise in reviewing evidence in health and social care using systematic and meta-analyses approaches. Her experience in workforce development has grown through applying a systems perspective to exploring pragmatic and sustainable ways of tackling workforce shortages and enabling health and social care organisations to deliver seamless services across care settings. Other areas of interest include analysing costs and benefits of funding specific illnesses; learning about experiences of the diagnosis and management long term conditions in young people; facilitating learning and development in the workplace; and evaluating safety practices in acute care settings.
