Child Nursing Lecturer wins Golden Apple Award

Each year, students from around the University are invited to nominate a member of academic or support staff who have inspired them and shown exceptional teaching or support standards, in the Golden Apple Awards.

This year, the Golden Apple Award for the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing was awarded to Gayle le Moine, Senior Lecturer in Child Nursing. We would like to say a huge Congratulations to Gayle for this achievement. When asked what she loves most about her role, Gayle said:

"I love the contact I have with the students; I have always been passionate about the student learning experience and doing what I can to make their time at university different and memorable.

I remember what it was like being a student and so use my role to encourage and support them as much as possible to become independent learners and practitioners; it is so nice to know that I what I do makes such a difference to them."

In total, 23 members of staff from the School of Nursing were nominated for the award, and we're delighted that our staff have been recognised for their hard work and dedication to teaching.
