Description

A masterclass encompassing all aspects of wrist fracture management (MUA, k-wire, ORIF) and carpal injuries including scaphoid and perilunate instability. A dry bone workshop using the current generation wrist plates and scaphoid fracture fixation.

The course is aimed at ST3s/middle grades in T&O.

Aims:

  • Understand and apply the biomechanical principles of distal radial fractures/carpal injuries
  • Identify fracture personality and apply the correct fixation methods
  • Surgical approaches to distal radius/scaphoid
  • Simulation dry bone workshop
  • Pearls and pitfalls
