Practice Assessor Courses

Outcomes of the course:
- Understanding of the new NMC Standards for Nursing and Midwifery Education (May 2018)
- Understanding of the new roles and responsibilities (practice supervisor; practice assessor and academic assessor)
- Understand the student assessment process and associated documentation
- Giving appropriate feedback
- Effectively managing underperformance
Requirements and Preparation for the Course
To attend this Practice Assessor’s Study Day, delegates are encouraged in their favour to complete the below online Pan London Practice Learning Group E-Learning Modules. Evidence of completion, such as a screenshot or printed E-Certificate, of the 7 EVOLVE Modules by PAN London Practice Learning Group should be sent to: health.yourbooking@canterbury.ac.uk.
Each module should take the delegate roughly one hour to complete, seven hours in total. If for some reason the delegate is not able to complete the Pan London modules prior to attendance, it is essential that they are completed within one month of the course date.

Reading and Preparation
In addition to completion of the PAN London Practice Learning Group’s EVOLVE Modules, delegates can also find more information regarding NMC’s new standards for education and training on the NMC website.
Course Details
The course will be held virtually online. An invite to the virtual session will be sent a few days prior to the course date booked onto.
