Focused Ultrasound Course in Third Trimester Scanning

This short course is for Midwives, Nurses, Doctors and Diagnostic Radiographers 

The aim of this Focused Ultrasound Course is to provide midwives, nurses, doctors and radiographers with the necessary competencies to perform an ultrasound assessment of fetal size, liquor volume, placenta location and Doppler studies in the third trimester of pregnancy. Successful candidates will receive a Certificate of Completion and 20 Level 7 credits.

The Focused Ultrasound Course is comprised of the following three parts: 

Course dates:

  • Part 1 - 2 days University attendance on 18 and 19 May 2020
  • Part 2 - 2 days University attendance on 23 and 24 July 2020 (provisional dates)
  • Part 3 – clinical ultrasound training in the workplace – two days per week for nine months

Course fee: £1,500 per person
