Data visualization is the process of creating graphical representations of data.

The following freely available tools may help you to visualize your data.

  • Excel – Good for handling data in spreadsheets and creating graphs and charts.

  • Gephi - open-source and free visualization and exploration software.

  • Nvivo - organize and analyse unstructured or qualitative data such as interviews, open-ended survey responses, journal articles, social media and web content.
  • Sci2 Tool - temporal, geospatial, topical, and network analysis and visualization of scholarly datasets at the micro (individual), meso (local), and macro (global) levels.

  • Tableau Public - create interactive data visualizations for the web from spreadsheet data.

  • Voyant Tools –  web-based reading and analysis environment for digital texts.
