Using images effectively and ethically
In this module, the third in the visual literacy series, you will learn how to navigate the ethical and practical challenges of selecting, using and sharing images.

How often do you use images? Have you shared a GIF on social media, or selected an image for an assignment? Complete this module and learn how to ethically use and share images.
- Understand that all visual works have a creator, and our use of images can have an impact on that creator
- Explain the ways to promote and protect your work online
- Show an awareness of the ethical challenges of using images in our work and for inspiration or parody
- Learn how to reference images and write a list of illustrations in the Harvard Referencing style
