Web Searching

Searching the internet for academic purposes is a bit different to using it for online shopping, checking who played the villain in your favourite film or settling an argument with a friend.

• Not everything is available via Google! You might need to use a specialised online resource.
• There will be information online which is not appropriate to use in your assignments.
• There are times when the information you need won’t be available freely online – in which case, use the library resources such as LibrarySearch and databases.
