Understanding Internet Searching

When we search the internet, we tend to say we’ve Googled something (even if we haven’t actually used Google), and around 90% of web searches worldwide are carried out via Google. However, there are literally hundreds of other search engines available. Here are a few you might like to try: 

These search engines are popular in Europe and North America – there are, of course, others available that work better for information in other languages, or which are adapted to different perspectives. Examples include Baidu in China and Yandex in Russia.
