Studying at university is very different from sixth-form or college. At University, there is no one source or set text that can answer all your questions, and you will need to develop into an independent learner, sometimes synthesizing material based on readings recommended by your tutor and at other times choosing your own sources and developing your own arguments and thoughts.

You will also need to develop good study habits of focussed reading, evaluating and critiquing, and moving from descriptive to analytical writing. This requires good organisation and planning skills to help you achieve success.

This module will support your transition into university study, by outlining some of the expectations and requirements of university study.
