Support from the Learning Skills Team

You can access support from the Learning Skills Team throughout your placements, as well as when you are on campus. Each member of the team makes online appointments available, so that you can book in to speak with us even when you can’t get to campus.

Visit the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Social Care page on the Learning Skills Hub to find contact details and booking forms for all members of the team supporting Canterbury and Medway students. You can also contact the whole team using the email learner@canterbury.ac.uk.

Mental Health Support

If you find yourself struggling with stress, anxiety, or any other mental health issues, there are many resources available for you to access at any point during your course, including while you’re on placement. Placement can be an exciting time, where you get the opportunity to really get out there and put everything you’ve been learning into practice, but it can also sometimes be stressful, especially when you’re in a new environment and juggling work stressors alongside other academic assignments.
