English for Academic Studies
Academic English vs. Everyday English
For academic studies, it is important to understand the differences between everyday English and academic English.
Everyday English is about communicating in informal ways that almost everyone understands. It is great for travel, shopping, or conversation.
Academic English is more serious and uses formal vocabulary, grammar, and structures. Its purpose is to describe, explain, express, and analyse complex topics.
In this module you will be learning about ways you can improve your English for academic purposes.
