Faculty Directors of Learning and Teaching

The Faculty Directors of Learning Teaching (FDLTS) are academic staff who work for their faculty and Learning and Teaching Enhancement on a part time basis (0.5 FTE) , to support the Deans and the Director of Learning and Teaching in embedding the Learning and Teaching strategy throughout their faculties. They do this through:

  • Contributing to the development of the Faculty Strategic Plan (relating to Learning and)
  • Developing and monitoring the Faculty Learning and Teaching Strategy implementation plan.
  • Prioritising areas of learning, teaching and assessment enhancement across the Faculty
  • Engaging with students when developing strategy, monitoring and reporting on learning and teaching enhancements
  • Encouraging research activity and Academic Professional Development relating to Learning, Teaching and Assessment
  • Supporting and contributing to the learning and teaching issues that arise from external and internal student  feedback surveys and other evaluations, including issues of the effectiveness (timeliness, clarity and accessibility) of communication with students in regard to these matters
  • Facilitating the dissemination and sharing of Learning and Teaching practice across the Faculty
