The University's Centre for European Studies (CEFEUS) has published the latest in its series of reports focusing on the impact of Brexit on the Kent and Medway region. Kent and Medway Health and Social Care: A Brexit Impact Assessment draws on in-depth interviews with key healthcare stakeholders from across the region to assess the impact that Brexit could have on the health and social care provision in the county, during the transition period, and beyond.
Here, Professor Amelia Hadfield, Director of CEFEUS and co-author of the report, discusses the key findings of the impact assessment, highlighting both the potentially negative impacts of Brexit as well as the opportunities, and outlines some specific recommendations.
Kent and Medway Health and Social Care: A Brexit Impact Assessment was launched at Westminster on Tuesday 6 March 2018 at an event hosted by Rosie Duffield, MP for Canterbury, Whitstable and Villages.
